Nevada receives ‘A’ grade on election report card
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Nevada makes the grade for an election that made history.
A new national report from the Institute for Responsive Government is giving Nevada an “A” grade when it comes to elections and voter access for the past two years.
They say Nevada’s move to permanently vote-by-mail and automatic voter registration greatly improved voter access to the ballot box.
“It’s my responsibility as Secretary of State to stand up and say, poll workers, volunteers, I have your back,” said Nevada Secretary of State, Cisco Aguilar. “We’re going to make it a felony to harass and intimidate election workers and volunteers.”
He says now one of his top priorities is protecting election workers.
