Aaron Mukerjee
Senior Policy Advisor
Aaron Mukerjee is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Institute for Responsive Government, where he partners with state policymakers to improve government service delivery and increase civic participation. Aaron has a strong track record of success across a range of issues, including election administration, permitting reform, and regulatory streamlining. He is actively helping states address the impact of federal Medicaid and SNAP work requirements and modernize their consumer complaint systems.
Prior to joining IRG, Aaron was an election lawyer in private practice. Before law school, Aaron served as a Research Associate to former U.S. Small Business Administrator Karen Mills, developing regulatory frameworks to encourage responsible innovation and protect consumers in the then-nascent “fintech” sector.
Aaron received his BA and JD from Harvard University, and he is a member of the D.C. and New York bars.
