Jess Unger

Jess Unger is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Institute for Responsive Government. Previously, he was a voting rights litigator with the Southern Poverty Law Center. He has also worked for Advancement Project, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Committee on Oversight & Reform’s Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. He received his BA from Sarah Lawrence College and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the Virginia bar.
